How Do I Get My Game Back

    [​IMG] After spending over an hour wityhout the game letting me either save or rest. The former because I was in combat, what bloody combat? It then decides to go and kill off my main character, not any of the ones I can resurrect, FFS I have two characters who can do this, WTF can't they do it on me :mad:, anyway, the question remains how can I get the game back, it was pissing me off not being able to save as I was planning to quit after starting the chapter (4).

    [​IMG] I can't help much I'm afraid, but since noone else replied...

    Probably your only hope is the Autosave or your last save.
    Inability to save can be that someone on the map is hostile or it could be just some kind of bug.

    This happened to me aswell. I was fighting in suldaneselar with Jon, and I summoned some monsters to help me, but when I defeated him, and got sucked down to hell, it would not let me save. I just moved to one of the ajoining rooms, and it autosaved. Then I quit and came back, and all was well.

    Unfortunately this seems to be a fairly common bug - not being able to rest or save. The only way I found around it was to make the party walk off screen (or similar) to make the game autosave. After that I would need to quit the game, restart then reload the autosave. It would then let me save the game as normal. It seems to happen to me if I have been playing for a long time in one go.

    Sorry can't help with this lost game, but hopefully you'll be able to use the above technique if you have the problem again.

    [​IMG] Slappy's post jogged my memory there...
    When buying a room to rest at an inn sometimes a message says that I may not rest at this time - or something to that effect - but all you have to do then is to choose rest once more and it works.

    Cheers, but it does like I have to go through it again, I've seen temporary things before, but in this case I can't gfo off screen (it's the one with all the fishmen. Still I at least know what needs to be done now, and make sure my main character stays well back. And wonder why did being a Kensai sound like a good idea :D

    This happens to me all the time and it is annoying. But if you go of screen and the game autosaves everything is ok for awhile. This is something the patch should have fixed.

    yep just go to a spot that auto saves, then after it does, quit and go back in and problem solved

    actually you can usually just march your party around a bit, gather them and try again. Works nine times out of ten.
