    I just finished BG I and imported two characters into BG II.

    My level 7/7 fighter/thief, con 19 had 74 hp at the end of BG I with TOSC, and when I imported him he had 163 hp.

    My level 7/7 cleric/mage, con 16, had 44 hp at the end of BG I and now he has 91 hp.

    Has anyone ever had this happen before? Is it just a bug? I thought maybe the game engine looked at how many hp they should have for each class level and added them up without dividing them in half.

    I suppose it's not as big a problem as if their hp got cut in half. If I wanted to I could just let them get injured and never heal them past their old hp values. The fighter/thief did have a potion of heroism in effect when we killed Sarevok and the final save occurred, so maybe that affected things a little bit.

    It happens to me under certain conditions. It only occurs when I import a multi-classed character. It does not happen when I import a dual-classed or single-classed character. So your example fits in with what I've experienced. I use Shadowkeeper to bring it back down to where the hp should be.

    I generally end up with less HPs on imported characters and not more.

    @Aldeth,

    Thanks for the advice. I download ShadowKeeper and played around with the base hp until it seemed reasonable. 163 hp looked nice at first, but it was just way too much to start out BG II with.
