    I joined here after I discovered the website in search of Baldur's gate 2: shadows of Amn add ons.
    I am glad to meet new people and I was wondering how you guys create the custom kits?

    Hello. It's actually pretty easy when you do it for your own needs, but less so when you want to make a distributable installer, although that's not so hard, either. There are tools for that (try this: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_teambg.php ), as well as for the creation of spells. Abilities for kits are done the same way as spells are -- from the technical side, they are just like normal spells but automatically cast on the character and without dispel, which makes them give you permanent increases, buffs and even the ability to cast further spells (innate abilities are also technically spells and work the same way as spells, even if their casting time is 0 and there's no animation). You need to define the kit in the right 2DA files and to put the right descriptions etc into dialog.tlk. It's easily done on your computer, as I said before, but making an installer is also an option. For that, you're going to need a kit-making tool or Weidu.

    I suggest you do what has already been suggested here; either open a new thread about your BG2 question in the appropriate BG2 forum here, or use the board search engine to look up previous threads discussing kit creation. The SS forum is not meant for game discussion, so you won't get as many useful replies here as in the SoA/ToB forum.
