Help with Cult of Unseen Eye quest

    I'm having problems getting the Unseen Eye to appear. The first time I picked up the second half of the rod he appeared but unfortunately killed my main in about 1 second before I could even tell anyone to attack. I re-loaded my game to just before that and since then he hasn't appeared (even though I got the 2nd half of the rod). Can't go back to before picking up the 2nd half again since I've been using quick saves which are now past that point. Any suggestions on how to make him appear?? Thanks..

    Talk to the high priest and peve him off. He summons the eye guy and you kill him. you don't even have to get the rod.

    Hmm.. I tried that and the only dialogue options I get is telling him that I haven't gotten the 2nd half of the rod yet. And then he tells me to return when I have. Hmm.. maybe attacking him will bring the eye. I'll try something like that I guess.
