[IMG] At the moment i'm soloing a dwarven fighter/cleric i'm in Beregost and whenever I try to go into the lady's house where you give the note and get the ring of proc. +1 it says to put in CD2, so I do, but it never works, it just stays on the screen, saying wrong disc in drive. I've checked it and it doesn't look any more scratched than my other games and they all work, any idea?

p.s: tried to explain as best I can, must be a bit confusing.

If I was you I would have installed the Full program so that problems like this don't come up. Anyway, if your cd is scratched then you might need to check EBay for a cheap copy...

Long out of print by now, but yes, there was one a few years after the original release.

They are still selling them in certain fantasy-stores where I live.. Shouldn't be to hard to get..

I have both versions; decided to give the original cd's a rest. I feel they have done their job quite well.. :)

Other alternative is to try to copy all the CD's onto your harddrive, and edit the baldur.ini file to link to their new locations. The files usually read better from the harddrive, as an added bonus this greatlly increase loading times and even install time if you later want to install the game again.

Also, if i recal corectlly, Bioware also recomended that if you got the bug where the instalation is asking for CD6 (yay) The best solution was to copy all cds onto harddrive, same folder and run from there.

My record thus far was to have instalation request CD number 20
