(Possible spoiler for those not yet out of the underdark)

In the Kuo-toa area there is this great statue of a demogorgon. It says: Place an animal sacrifice before the great Demogorgon to awaken his 5 sleeping children (wich are the statues that stand along the wall.
Anyway, what am I supposed to do?
I have no animal's and the only creatures I can find are diseased tad poles.
How can you awaken those guys?

    SPOILER

It was a bit nasty of me, but I used a summon monsters spell to get some wolves (I think) and sacrificed one of those at the statue (alter).

    BIGGER SPOILER

To be honest I wish I hadn't, the 'children' are extremely tough and nasty. So be very prepared. However, they do carry an essential item with them.....

Lol, no one said it´ll be easy work ;) It took me three attempts to finish the job without anyone in my party beeing killed - and the loot was well worth it - as for the xp. Nice little fight... :)

[IMG] Hey Ragusa, based on your post I have been back specially to find this 'doorway and some kinda stage behind, really nice place' that you mentioned. I have looked all around that area after defeating the 'children.' Unfortunatley, even with Imoen using find traps, I can't find a thing. I widened the search to include the rest of the Kuo-toa area but still nothing. I did find the tadpole ponds (good and tainted) plus the area to worship the sea goddess (or whatever). None of these areas seem to have anything special in them though.

Anyway, could you give us a bit more of a clue as to where it is or what you are talking about. Thanks.

[IMG] I had my crytic day then, sorry Slappy... Punsiher complained about beeing beaten up - and so was I when I did it.

I meant it as a hint for the IMHO best battleground against the demon knights - on the stage you can enjoy the comfort of dealing with one of them at one time with all six of your party members (1 melee and the rest ranged weapons, healing and magic)... I didn´t wanted to *HINT* at hidden items or so ... <Ragusa looks down in shame> I hope I cleared that ;)

lets just say those Demon Knights are arseholes to kill. Beware, as they seem to cast nasty high level spells...

and did anyone get them Lvl Draining them?

argh this fight is a nightmare come true... i actually found this the hardest fight in the game!! even more so than the Dragons... i was scared by the nastiness of the Demon Knights. Lovely stuff from the fight... including a part to the most essential weapon ever created...

[IMG] Thanks for clearing that up Ragusa, I thought I was going mad. My fault for being greedy and trying to get my hands on more exciting stuff.

  9. I figured this one out myself, and summoned many, many animals (and kept sending them in!) for the DK's to munch upon. After their nasty spells were depleted, they were not so tough.

But tossing all those high level stun/kill/word spells around--they were one of the harder sections of the game so far.
