[IMG] How do you disable traps at the firewine dungeon? I went in through the entrance at gullykin (winery) and I have a thief with 110% disarm skill. But I can't disable the traps. Right near a entrance there is a lightining trap that alway goes off. I don't see any red areas with my disarm skill activated. If my thief not good enough. Though I find that tough to belive. 110% should cut it. Am I missing something here?

Do you have "disarm" or "find traps" activated? Find Traps (the icon with the four triangles arranged as a square) should find it, move your thief slowly to the area with Find Traps turned on, you may have to wait a few seconds but an area should turn red then switch to "disarm" or "thieving skills" as I believe it's called in the game (also used for picking locks and pockets). Imoen only had %60-%70 in find traps when I was there and she was able to find them. Also, note if you do anything other than move the thief (i.e., attack, open a container or pick up items off the floor), the find traps automatically turns off.

[IMG] dude: wrong way in. Go into the halfling houses. There's one halfling that initiates conversation, if you point out that it smells of kobolds and remember that they HATE kobolds he attacks. Easy prey. Then a hidden door becomes visible. Enter and waste a coupla ogrillons, a mage and an ogre mage with a slew of kobold commandos. You only finish this maze out if you want to help the ghost knight. otherwise all this hassle is NOT WORTH IT. I mean, think about it... you're havin probs over KOBOLDS? When you kill the mage and ogre mage and orgillons the quest is done. Return to that halfling guy in the village.

Thanks. I have to try it again. Actually, I am quite familiar with the mechanics of the game. I'm in chapter 5 and I have disabled lots of traps before. I just can't seem to do it here. The red zone does not appear when Imoen has her detect trap highlited. Maybe I'll try again. Perhaps I should have waited longer.

I didn't know there was another entrance. I'll try and find that. The ghost-knight quest? What is that? I thought I'd find some loot in the dungeon. Is it not worth it?

[IMG] Sure it's worth it. There's a big treasure pile in the heart of the dungeon (well, at least graphically :p ), good XP, and a lifetime supply of fire arrows. And there's the quest with the ghost knights too... I really liked Firewine, except for the damn corridors that are so narrow you get stuck all the time.

Taluntain: oh? There was a treasure pile? What thing of note was in it? Hrrm. That was short-sightedness on my part... The paths were too narrow to maneuver in and there were so many kobold commandos that I didn't think it was worth the trouble... maybe I'll reinstall, but I dunno. btw davycop, the ghost knight quest detailed finding the armor of their leader's comrade and returning it to him, he would then destroy himself and his fellow knights, leaving you with xp.

I don't remember exact details (geez, it was a few years ago), so I suggest you check out one of walkthrus I have on the site for more info.
