[IMG] I've been romping around Burial Isle a bit, the drowned bloated guys are pretty tough, and the wailing virgins are annoying...But so far, it hasn't been that exciting...Does it get better?!?!?

I hope so - Granted, I've only been in the first barrow on the island, but so farm the fights haven't been terribly challenging. When does it pick up?

Hmmm... I found Burial Isle to be the hardest part of the game. Barrow Wights, Drowned Dead and Wailing Virgins in combination proved difficult for me, and it wasn't real easy to rest without being interrupted there.

But just wait, you will be ambushed just about everywhere in HoW; makes things interesting for those guys you usually leave at the back :)

    Sir Bel,

It does get a little harder but not much. I suggest you install the Trail of the Loremaster, that is an excellent addition to HoW. And if you want a real challange you could always play in Heart of Fury mode. Good luck it's a LOT harder.

I have ToL...Haven't started it yet! I'll have to try Heart of Fury Mode....I just have on Core (Heart of Wussy mode) :D

I've had a pretty good strategy against the virgins/bloaded guys/and barrow wights

Archers pound the virgin and follow when she tries to get out of range, then paladin & dwf fighter pound away tha the watery dudes! I have my cleric heal and conjure undead as fodder to slow them down

I also try to fight in ground of my choosing, such as corridors, bridges, etc...

    It's worked so far
