It occurred to me that there is a magic item for sale in Targos that seems to be a little extraordinary. Namely the longsword that bears the name of the partyleader : 'The heart of (partyleader)'.

Is this item more than just a useless longsword , or is there something more to it? This reminds me of IWD I with the 'Sword of Aihonen'.

Does someone knows anything about it , can you upgrade this sword later?

During the normal mode of IWD2, it's about as "useful" as any other +1 longsword. No upgrading either.

During the Heart of Fury Mode, well ... that's a whole different story.

    Does it give you :
    +2Strength
    +2Constitution
and other benifits in the HOF mode?

Looks like one of Weimers mods has gone too far then. I am currently playing a Normal game (with mods) and have these benifits from it. Not that I could buy it anyway ;)
In that case is the 'Wandering Sky' a 2D6+5 sword in Normal? And the KegSplitter a 1 shot kill-all-constructs weapon?

    And, Beren

It's a fairly descent weapon for the very early stages of the game, I remember buying it and using it for a while until I got better swords. I kept it in my inventory though hoping it might trigger something later in the game,or like suggested by Hellheart upgrade it. but no luck (or did I miss something?) In HoF, I remember using the golden heart of xxxxx for longer, but I didn't finish the HoF mode and I guess you can get better swords later.

Wandering Sky is a +1 great sword that gets 1 cast of Doom total in normal. Kegsplitter splits kegs instantly but do not slay constructs.
