Just as the topic name suggests, i want to know if you have ever had money stolen from you, if so how much, when, how pissed were you and did you find who stole it.

I'm asking because sometime last night someone stole $20 from me, it was in my room and i had it put up on a shelf and someone came and stole it from me  god im pissed, im gonna have to buy new hinges for my door. its not the fact that the money is gone, just that someone actually had the nerve to go into my room, trash it, and take the money.

Yes, when I was younger. Robbed twice for only spare change that I would have given away anyway if just asked, and once money was stolen from my wallet when I left it in my bag and the bag I left in the class. A 'friend' knew... and guess the rest.

Money has never been stolen from me, but I've lost 4 to 5 bikes through theft. It seem that the older and uglier your bike is, the sooner people will steal it...

I've had an electronic handheld organizer stolen from me when I placed my backpack in an open area. Shame was, that it was a Christmas present.

    Yep, $50 cash.
Also, 2 CD's - Gunners' Illusion albums (still sorely missed), my fave microfibre shirt - long sleeves, collarless - an old pair of Rollerblades and a freakin' BOARD GAME!
Oh, and a $90 bottle of Ralph Lauren Romance For Men.

When I was 11 I had £2 stolen off me from a boy at school. He wasn't the brightest of people, as he didn't realise that I knew his name and address

Once when I was somewhere around 14-16 years old. I'd forgotten my wallet on a poker-machine in the market. I only discovered this the next morning when we (I was staying at a friend's house with some others as that weekend was sort of a gathering) when we were heading out to buy some burger. I notified the police immediately and two days after that they informed me someone had brought it found it and returned it from a place nearly 10 kilometers away from where I'd lost it.

Needless to say, knowing my memory would never improve, that was the last time I ever kept my keys in the same place as my money and ID-cards etc (talk about a stupid idea, we had huge dogs at our house then so a potential criminal wasn't really a problem though). Luckily the keys were the type you can't copy that easily, and they were in the wallet when I got it back. The money was gone though (I had in Finnish currency what amounts to around 6€ left, so it was a low price to pay). I assume some slaughter-and-eternal-torment-deserving punk wasted it on beer or somesuch, and sincerely hope he got hit by a car while drunk.

ive had about 20 cd's stolen from me, the most important ones to me was guns n roses your illusion 2 and baldur's gate 2... i found the guy who stole bg2 and  i dont think i really need to go into that...hes still living though unfortunately. ive had 6 bikes stolen from me, 3 of them were on my front porch and the others in the front yard for about 30 minutes and when we came back out they were gone.

EDIT: i probably should have put the bikes out back by the dog kennel... we have three rotwielers and at the time 2 doberman(sp?) pinchers.

OK, if it's come to not only money:

Three cactuses. I live in a block of flats. They were placed on some window in the floor corridor. Caboom! No cactuses some day.

Now: money, cars, guns etc... but what kind of man does one need to be to steal flowers? :toofar: :shame: :flaming:

I had my discman stolen from me when i was in an exam last term. Mind you, i wasnt supposed to have it there, so it was fair game. Still not happy about it though, and if i find the bloke that did it, he won't be happy for very long.

Generally, things here are pretty safe. If you lose your wallet, your pretty much guarenteed of getting it back, money included.
