Hi!! I completed Xzar quest where I have to find out where his friend is. I have completed this quest without jaheira. My question is that since i didn't do it with jaheira, i didn't get the ring of wizardry which is in the headquarter. Does anybody know whether i can still get the harper's building and get the ring?? Thanks

No, that part of the harper hold is a Jaheira-only plot. The Xzar encounter does not have anything to do with it, other than for the fact you have to do it first.

So with the quest done, is it still possible for me to recruit jaheria into my group and enter the harper's building again?? Thanks

Yes. You can find Jaheira in front of the Harper Base.

The ring is part of the loot in a fight you encounter when Jaheira is in your party. So when you can pick up her you should be able to do the fight ;)

Just mind she'll iirc be gone for good if you kick her three times or so.

Another way to get a ring of Wizardry is (but your PC has to be a sorcerer or mage for this) to complete the mage stronghold. You can order your apprentices to make you one ring of wizardry. (It's easier to get it through the Harpers though, but if jaheira's gone, this is another way.)

I just wanted to point out one thing to prevent confusion: There are two different mage rings that look identical.

The ring you take from Lavok in planar sphere is the [*]ring of acuity, RING40 (adds 2x lvl-2, 1x lvl-3 and 1x lvl-4 spells).

in the harper building you conquer the
[*]ring of wizardry, RING08 that adds 1 spell of lvl-5, lvl-6 and lvl-7 respectively (making it less suited for low level multiclassed mages and bards). Yes, when you have the mage stronghold you can order your apprentices to make it, but the result iirc is that one of them blows up :)

Yup, one should blow up. They really thought that out, I mean, that's like killing two flies in one strike! :) An excellent ring, and some entertainment :p
