NWVault has publish a hall of fame interview with JayAre about his Scourge of the Slavelords module. Here's a snip:

"Scourge of the Slave Lords" is the 1986 compilation of the 1980-81 "A"-series. The two mods I have online are the first two parts of 4. Scourge is about this whole coastline being raided by slavers. Whole towns, villages disappearing. But nobody really knows who is behind all of this, or where they are located. In Part 1, the Player(s) come into this by accident. They were originally hired by Mistress Dame Gold to take an antidote to her sick brother somewhere down in the southern part of the continent. But before they even start, their employer and a bunch of her guests are captured by the slavers, and the player(s) sets off to free her, but get captured too. So the player(s) must escape the captors on the ship, the Ghoul. Somehow the PC's make their escape, and find themselves in the conquered city of Highport. The PC must find out clues about the Slaver operation within the city, and hopefully put a stop to it.
