Guide for BG and TotSC Application (mainly for beginners)

    For those who haven't heard of it yet:
    This windows application (written in Object Pascal) gives great help (combat tactics for example) for beginners, and may offer new to advanced players as well. It contains list of many good items and their location in the game, tells about creatures and their locations etc. So it is a sort of guide, but much more.


    Unfortunately I cannot continue the development of this application (guide for players), and have no idea when I get the possibility to restart development. So I decided to release a LITE version, which contains the entire ADVICE and APPENDIX section of the original GBBG. Those who would like to use the beta version of the original application, can get this version as well (beta 0.83).

    Note:
    Most of the information in the ADVICE section can also be very useful in Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale 1&2 and in other similar crpgs.

    I made one Great Book, there is no lite anymore. The beta is not available either, it was an unfinished program after all.

    The Great Book still contains the rich Advice section and the very useful Appendix.

    The links in the first post of this topic do not work anymore.

    Just thought I'd let you know that I've noticed what I think is a bug with the Book.

    If i go into battles and click the Silke battle it says...

    'Access violaton at address 0046FDFF in module 'BGBook.exe' Read of address 00A2001E'

    And it shows the tactics for the Slythe & Krystin battle rather than the Silke battle :( .

    I just thought I'd bring it to your attention should it be something you wanted to look into (not being at all technical, I don't know how serious/not serious it is :p ).

    Thanks. That was a known problem and could have been fixed but since the development was stopped it was not fixed.
    But I wonder where did you get that version from. You probably downloaded it several days ago, since that version is not available anymore. As you can see in my previous post in this thread, only one version is available for download now. And that contains only two sections which should work perfectly.

    I actually got it a long time ago, when you originally posted this thread. It's been sat on my hard-drive until I decided to play BG again. :D
