Here are recent Greyhawk: The Temple of Elemental Evil forum highlights. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Quote: One thing I liked about Baldur's Gate 2 and Icewind Dale 2 was that I could see so much ifromation about skills, feats, classes, abilities etc. within the game. Will ToEE do likewise?

We have an ingame hypertext-like system that we use for help. Not only can you lookup help on specfic feats/skills, but when looking thru the roll history you can select specific actions (hits, misses, damage, skill rolls, etc) and get a breakdown of all of the modifiers for that action. You can then select those modifiers and get detailed information on what they are and when they apply.

Most of the information is a condensed version of the 3.5 rulebooks tailored to our subset of the rules. I would imagine someone could read thru our helpsystem and be able play D&D 3.5.

Quote: I don`t think I like it. The yellow is a bit too..uhm..acidic, and the red a bit too..uhm.."I`ve been lost at sea for three weeks, somebody notice me."

Chris Glenn did most of the box art work, and (for the most part) the dev team is pretty happy with it. The yellow "fog" at the bottom isn't our work. I think I'm safe to speak for nearly everybody on the dev team in saying we'd prefer the box art without the fog, but I don't think we get to make those calls.

Also, keep in mind a 151 x 220 image is not going to do anything justice in terms of art.

    Greyhawk or Forgotten Realms?

Thats a tough question to ask. I grew up on all the Forgotten Realms goodies (they had some great expansions and source books), also some of my favorite games (the gold box series) were Forgotten Realms based.

In my opinion Forgotten Realms was much more cheery fantasy than Greyhawk. Magic was everywhere, and adventurers were abundant.

Greyhawk has a much more Troika Games feel to it. It has the same gritty realism that Fallout and Arcanum had. People in Greyhawk often had real problems. If you weren't an adventurer you were a poor bumpkin trying to make a living because the principalities were all so corrupt.

But maybe I just never picked any of that up in the Forgotten Realms because I was so young when I played/read the material. But of course my vote has to be for Greyhawk

Quote: What will the Inventory look like? Dual Weilding? Limit to how much you can carry?

    Yes, you can dual-wield.

Yes, there is encumbrance and weighted items.

Yes, there is a finite amount of "slots" in your inventory, but every item takes up only 1 slot. there are bags and bags of holding.

Yes, the paperdoll has a limit on the number of items you can wield at once (i think i outlined it in a previous post, way back). 2 rings, etc.

    Hope that helps!
