I started playing before with a druid and began to loose interest at the end of chapter two. So i tried multiclassing it to a wizard and then my character just began to royally suck. What are some good combinations for multiclassing. I was thinking about it and i thought a possible combination could be palading/sorceror, but was unsure whether that would work out. I was also thinking about a rogue/ranger. Any thoughts or opinions would be apreciated.

A Paladin/Sorcerer is possible, and it's one I've just started. It's a good idea to know what level your character can get up to though, as once you multiclass from a Paladin, you can't go back. The ideal, for me at least, would be to end up with a Paladin 8/Sorcerer 12. Lots of stats to put stuff in however, including Charisma, Wisdom, Strength, and Dex (can't be lugging around heavy armor after all). Let's see...some other fun ones. A monk/rogue is very fun. They don't do alot of damage, but they're tops in stealth, can use some spells and wands, and have a nasty sneak attack. Excellent stealthy type assassin. I've been wanting to try a Ranger/Druid, since they look to mesh well. Ranger/Rogue is said to be a good combo, and for a solo fighter, try a Ranger/Fighter/Barbarian. There are plenty of interesting combos to mix and match with.

    [EDIT]
As a side note, it might not be the charcter that wasn't interesting towards the end of chapter two. Try downloading a module from somewhere and give that a try. The official campaign can get monotonous at times.

    I had a ranger/fighter/rogue
10 levels of ranger to get racial enemy and my bear gets 2 attacks. 4 levels of fighter to get 3 more feats (i think 3). And all the other leveled rogue to get rid of Tomi and nice sneak attack beside Grimgnaw.
I was dualwielding rapier in main hand and short sword in off hand. Improed critical on rapier + keen rapier(of the high road) mage a critical range of 14-20. And i started to use parry :D

    Half-orc
    Barbarian-Ranger.

Well I just took the ranger so I could get a deer as my follower.

    High Wisdom and Strenght.
    Heavy Armor and Discipline.
I just wanted to be different.
