In Nalia's quest to De'Arnise Hold, I read in another board that having a cleric cast sanctuary, allows them to take the items without alerting the golems and having to fight them or running from them. Anyone tried it this way?

That's what I did my second time through, even mentioned it for the online solution. It's one spell, takes one person and there are no worries. When you walk past the room, your line of sight isn't far enough to penetrate and see the Golems, so they'll never come after you unless you enter the room again.

The items ;) Plus, the majority of people find Nalia pretty quickly in their search for adventure, fortune and fame and their levels, although high, are still no match for the Golems. Once you're in the keep and you clear it out, the Golems leave so you don't get a chance to go back to them when you're 15th or 16th level.

Do it when you can and live another day to do it to another.

Once I planned out my attack, they weren't that tough at all. I just attacked the Iron with my blessed/armour of faith/draw upon holy might/haste Cavalier w/ Flail of Ages, 2 mountian bears and Anomen (who was also blessed/armour of faith/draw upon holy might/hasted) with the +4 hammer vs. giants. He went down fairly easily.
