[IMG] What's the best kit for going solo, bearing in mind i want to dual-wield.

Can you dual wield Crom Faeyr and Celestial Fury, and is there a better combination than those two?

Rangers are tailormade for dualwielding for they already have two weapon slots in dual wielding.

And yes, you can dualwield Crom and C`Fury - so you´ll get both the THACO advantage and damage advantage of str-25 (playing corm in the off hand) for C`Fury.

But I´d strongly suggest to choose an additional +4 damage weapon too, like the skullcrusher mace or the Namarra longsword - there are a few creatures that are immune up to +3 weapons.

    [IMG] I agree with Ragusa.
You can dual class your ranger to a cleric pretty fast too. That will give you all druid and cleric spells.

If you have a druid character from playing BG1 you can import him and pick the Avenger kit then dual class to fighter. An incredible machine is what you get! :)

I can also recommend a dc Fighter-9/Mage-17. That's the only character I've solo'd with sofar.

[IMG] Do you mean that the only way you can get a dual class avenger fighter is to import a druid from BG1? Some kind of loophole?

[IMG] If you make an Avenger in BG2 you will lose 2 strength (and 2 constitution) as part of choosing to be an Avenger.
That means max Strength for a Human Avenger in BG2 is 16. To dual class to a Fighter you need at least 17 Strength.

In BG/TotSC you can improve your strength by 1 via a magic tome. This is the only way a human can get his basic strength to 19.

Another advantage with the BG/TotSC Druid choosing to become an Avenger is that he will not lose the 2 strength & 2 constitution since the character creation of an imported character starts after the ability stats are finalized. (This seems a bit buggy to me)
