    I've intentionally done few quests, so that I can do them with Imoen later on. I plan on picking her up and using her in my party.

    What's a good level to finish Chapter 2 and hand Mr. Bayle his 15k? I just want to make sure I won't be overmatched when I leave town.

    Do a few of the harder quests such as DeArnise Hold and the Umar Hills. If you finish those, you should be ready to handle all the neat beasties you're going to get to fight.

    Plus, you won't need to leave town until the end of chater three -- or the start of chapter four, depending on how you look at it. IMHO, You'd better be a DARN good player to head off sailing at a lower level.... :p

    Yeah, but define "lower level."

    My goal is to add Imoen to the party without her being behind in power.

    Well, you did say that you were intentionally doing few quests, which means you won't have gained more than maybe a level or two, right...?

    Imoen will be about the same level you are when you find her, IIRC.... Even if not, you're still better off getting her later after you've leveled up a bit -- because things start to get ugly once you leave the mainland! :eek:

    the second time I run BGII I intended to switch Nalia for Imoen-better thieving skills, better intelligence-and I parted without doing any of the out-of-town quests, except for the D'arnise Hold, barely enough experience and money to pay Gaelan. I had a hellish journey through Ust Natha, not recommendable for begginers, due to my low level, but if in the end you get Imoen to level 18, is worth the trouble.

    Just curious, I have NOT done the Harper Quest yet (The one Xzar proposed to me).

    I know that this quest has a lot to do with Jaheira, and that Jaheira is important to the storyline. Can this quest wait until after Chapter 3, or should I really get it done before?

    I am NOT romancing Jaheira, if that makes any difference.
