[IMG] Hi everyone. Some of the older members might remember me. I've been working in Japan again doing some graphic design projects. Anyway, I came across my copy of IWD2 at the bottom of a drawer I was copying and decided to get back into it (I've grown SO BORED of console RPG's on the ps2. Always with the same anime ****).

Anyway, I was going over some portraits I d/l'ed from this site (the castlevania ones are GREAT btw) and was wondering some class combinations.

Can someone give me feedback on whether or not they work?

    - Rogue/Demarch of Mask
    - Bard/Demarch of Mask
    - Fighter/cleric (I forget the formal title) of Bane
    - Rogue/cleric of Bane
    - Bard/cleric of Bane

    vice versa too...

They're certainly workable...but you might want to forget the Rogue/Dreadmaster of Bane (that's what its called) in favour of a Rogue/Wizard seeing as you don't have any arcane casters.

Also, the Bard/Demarch of Mask would benefit more from being a Bard/Sorcerer...preferably with 11 lvls of Bard for the songs, then the rest as Sorcerer.

    Also...for the Fighter/DoB, you're better off having them as a mix in...say Fighter lvl 4/DoB lvl X??

I think you'll be needing another tank in there too, the one fighter will not be able to handle all the masses, and seeing that you are taking a lot of mixed classes, without any strong ones...like too many rogues and bards, you will need someone else to help the fighter out. May I suggest ditching the Rogue/Demarch of Mask in favour of a Rogue/Ranger/Fighter? lvls 6/5/19? More than enough skills for the rest of the game!

Both Rogue and Demarch of Mask can be mixin classes. A DG Rogue[2]/Demarch of Mask[1]/Illusionist[x] can cast all arcane spells and unlock all traps/locks. Mine works as a high AC shield. Frankly, the rogue complements the mage far more than any cleric.

Bard/Cleric can be an all-in-one healing solution. You could use him as your chief diplomat. Such a charecter will lack in offensive capabilities and must stay at the back. Your cleric kit will be based on your playing style. Remember that after taking Bard[11] levels, your cleric wont be getting higher level spells as a cleric in a normal game, unless you solo or level-squat.
Both Bard/Sorc and Bard/Druid should also be considered.

Fighter is best used as a mixin. Barbarian is better. Diluting his offensive capabilities by taking Cleric levels is not advisable.

I like all the cleric mix ins!! Think of all the undead you can summon once all reach 5th level. Plenty of cannon fodder/ meat shields there. Have one or two concentrate on their cleric levels (like the rogue/ demark, since you only need minimum rogue levels to get by with traps, etc) and go for the high level summonings.
Also plenty of buffing to go around. Just Aid and bless can turn a battle to your side. Add cat's grace, bull's strength, etc and you are on your way.

yeah I was thinking of unconvential and obvious mix-ins. I mean, why wouldnt a demarch of mask be a rogue?

why not a bard/dreadmaster? tales of violence, songs of doom.. (lol, a goth)
