    [IMG] Hi!

I'm just about to enter the Severed Hand and realised that most of the areas shown on the first world map,e.g. Luskan, couldn't be accessed during the game!

Was this due to a lack of time and money by the developers, to give the impression the game was larger than it was, or did they plan to provide extra mods like in ICWD I?

Overall neither game is as good as Torment, which was *AWESOME*

However, intersperesed among the hack and slash bumph in the ICWD saga is some clever dialogue and story, e.g. the possessed Priests of Ilmaters dialogue in ICWD 1, while in ICWD 2 the story of the twins and how they went over to "the dark side" and the hint it could have panned out differently was excellent...

You can't access Targos or other previous areas as they are far too away and the roads are most likely blocked by mountains, snows etc. (you are in IWD2 right!) Remember, you flew with Oswald from Targos and now the ship is nowhere to found, you can not go to the old places on foot, (you would most likely be frozen anyway) sorry to dissapoint ya but it is also a good excuse to put the game in a very LINEAR line!

I heartily agree with your comments. IWD is full of cool action-based combats that require strategy, courage, nerves of steel, and a vast patience. Stories are GOOD, (NOT excellent like BG but still curious) and the fact that you travel the legendary places of north (I LOOVE snowy enviroments! and IWD2 graphics are beautiful beyond words to me) makes these games what they are.

I actually pitied Twins to find them so corrupted. Wasn't there a hope? I just hoped that designers could put a dialogue for HIGH diplomacy, bluff skilled PCs to persuade and redeem them. (Like in the game Arcanum you can 'beat' the final battle with just words) BUT this would prevent the COOLEST battle of the entire series right? :D
