I suppose anyone who's into this sort of games knows nationstates.net. The trouble is that one game with two issues per day at max isn't really enough ;)

Please share any similar game you know with a brief description and your experience. Stuff you've actually played is preferred.

Utopia, not really anything like NS. It's a turn based strategy game which is text based. There is a forum for roleplaying, but isn't used for roleplaying. Nothing like issues, just raising armies and war. You'll get bored of it pretty quickly. http://games.swirve.com/utopia/

Another one I know of is Simcountry, which I have heard that it's crap, but never played.
(note: It may not even be called simcounty, it may be simnation)

Dominion is almost as A that Utopia game. It's a fantasy war game, where you build a dominion(country?) and defend yourself and/or attack others. THe good about the game is that there is so many races to choose from from. You can find it here .

You can take a look here. It's a online games directory, so you should be able to find a game that suits you. If you do, send me a message and I'll check it out myself.

If it doesn't have to be online you could check this. It's site dedicated to abandonware and they got some nice political games. They're DOS so don't expect any sweet graphics.
