    [IMG] Ok listen!

I got the quest on the bridge, and after 4 days, I went to visit him at the Flaming Fist HQ, and told him that I haven't found anything yet.

The next morning, I started the 7 Suns quest, killed all the dopplegangers, but when I went back to the Flaming Fist, I couldn't find Scar! (Also, when I left the 7 Suns building, this lady told me to go visit Scar at FF, but when I went, he wasn't there!)

What to do? (I really feel stupid!)

I have Gatekeeper, but I don't think I can use that to do um, anything about this problem! :(

1st: Did you tell him that you weren't going to work for him anymore? If you did, he should be just outside the FF compound, and you totally wasted any opportunity to do the quest for him. In that case, I'd suggest you reload a previous save.

2nd: If he isn't in either place, then I also might consider going back to a previous save and not talk to Scar until you've at least talked to the merchant who accosts you as soon as you step foot into the Seven Suns.

3rd: If he disappears again, though, it's probably a bug. Do you have the latest patch installed?

4th: When all else fails, Scar can be summoned by CLUAing him in. The code is CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Scar")

Let me know it goes. :)

-I don't have a previous save (My master save is right b4 I sleep, and I last talked with Scar during the day, b4 I completed Aldeth's quest!) :D

-I don't understand how to CLUA

-I don't see him near the FF compound or inside it either.

-What patch should I be looking for? :p

    Edit:

Frustration upon frustration I tell you!

I live in Canada, but it appears that my 6 discs of BG1 are European from the bottom of the box!

Thus, I can't decide if I should install the Canada/US mods, or the UK mods on the Bioware website!

Be still, my beating heart! We'll get through this, right Fellinoid? :D

I take it the auto-save and quick-save are out of the question as well.

Best to stick with Sorcerer's Place.

That's a long one to explain, but I'll give it a shot. First you open up your baldur.ini file with a text editor (Notepad works great). You'll find it in your BG1 directory.
    (e.g. C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\)
You might want to save a clean copy of it somewhere else before you start changing things, just in case. Then, type a new line in the [Game Options] section that reads Cheats=1 and save the file.

Start up BG1 (or quit and restart if it was already running) and after you load your save, hit Ctrl+Tab. You'll see a command line where your quick weapons and such used to be. Type in the code (which will probably always start with CLUAConsole) and hit Enter.

To get rid of the command line, just hit Enter, or Ctrl+Tab, or even Esc. Thankfully, once you've changed the baldur.ini file, you never have to do it again, and that file will actually save your last code, so you don't have to type CLUAConsole every time. Told you it was long.

    And finally:
    Two things:

    1. Felinoid is spelled with one 'l'. Not terribly important, but it is slightly annoying if repeated several times (and I have a feeling I'm going to be helping you out a bit). :D

    2. I'm a guy, so chill with the "Be still, my beating heart" bit, okay? :shake:

    Ha!

Sorry man! Well in regards to my "Be still my beatin heart" comment, it was in regards to my game and me! :D So ain't gotta worry about me FeLinoid! Ha!

Well I've installed the mods, and I beleive I've followed all the steps in your post, and i went to the FF HQ, and tried:

    Ctrl + Tab:

1st try: Cheats=1, and nothing happend

2nd try: CLUAConsoleCheats=1, and nothing happend

    3rd try: CLUAConsole Cheats=1, and I got:

    lua: syntax error
last token read "Cheats" at line 1 in dostring >> CLUAConsole Cheats=1

    Am I doing something wrong?

I ain't sure what to do man! If there are no more Ideas, I guess I might just go kill all the dopplegangers again, but then that FF chick will talk to me outside, but I guess I'll be okay!

The Cheats=1 line goes in the baldur.ini file only. That will activate cheat mode for you. When you're in-game and get the command line, which I'm assuming you did based on the syntax error message (boy, that takes me back; I had a few problems the first time myself :D ), you should type in CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Scar"). Scar will then appear in the middle of your screen, and the cheat code you typed in (in this case, CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Scar") ) will appear in off-white text in your message box as a confirmation.

    @Shayleigh:
Thanks for the confirmation on the CLUA fix. (Never had this problem myself, so I wasn't 100% sure it would work, but I figured that it was worth a shot.)

    Well it works! (sort of!)

I typed the command in, and he comes, and then says the same thing he said at the bridge, and then when I try talking to him at FF, he dissappears as soon as he reappears! (I know this b/c Im standing right there! I don't even get the chance to talk to him! And I pause the game and set up my movements perfectly too!

I tried it out myself and ran into the same problem. There must be another code for the Scar that is supposed to be in FF HQ, but I can't find it.

Shayleigh, what code did you use?
