I recently formatted my computer and installed everything back on but now it runs extremely slow and it freezes up when doing simple things like having more than two videos loading and even when I try to config BG 2. I am running XP home on AMD 3700+ 1gb ram, Radeon X700. Is there a certain order drivers should be installed? I would be greatful for any help.

Yes, indeed, the driver installation order make a HUGE difference. Unfortunatly, the optimal installation sequence is unique to every computer - it's kinda trial and error before you find the optimal order for your machine. If you remember the sequence used when your machine was first setted up, try it, otherwise, if you have some time to kill, reinstall Winblows and try different orders.

I bought the computer and had everything installed for me. However I do have a recovery disk from the computer store, would that help perhaps?

Hmm... if the said recovery disk restores your machine to what it originally was, then yes, I think it could work, but I'm far from being 100% sure.

I usually install the stuff in the following order:

    1) XP and patches (available pre-installed on torrented End-User Editions).
    2) Latest DirectX.
    3) Firewall (ZoneAlarm, free version).
    4) Drivers (vid.card first, then mobo, sounds, etc).
    5) Others and tweaks.

    No problems thus far.
