It's been three years without stop for me at the boards now, but now it's time to serve the king and country for a year. And while the rest of Europe is suffering from extreme warm weather these days, the place I'm going to has an average temperature of 16-17 C in the summer, and it will probably be as cold as -35 C in the winter. Got some freezing toes to look forward to :p .

Anyways, I'll drop by when I find a computer up there ;) .

What are you actually doing up there? Playing hide and seek with Eskimos and rifles? ;)

Serving his king could be to isolate himself in the fridge with tons of boxes with Royal-Crown Cola (RC-Cola) :)

But good luck! I really hope I'm never going into the military.

    Oh, brother!

    Been there, done that.

What is it to be? From your... disspirited... remarks, it sounds like the army.

Not to worry, though; it's not nearly as bad as you might think. When I got drafted, I pictured some horror story, complete with sadistic sergeants and what have you. Instead, I wound up having a great time, and made a lot of new friends. Just give it your best all the time, don't b**ch and moan (at least not when within hearing range of the officers :D )and only volunteer for stuff in basic training, never after you're posted.

And remember, a year goes by in a hurry. Good luck to you.

    Good luck fellow!
In three years I'll probably be up in the north too. If the drafting rates in Norway don't change heavily until then...

yeah it is sort of a LiveRoleplaying camp for 1 year AKA vacation, if you accept the fact that Blood has a cool colour and pain is just an illusion. Always remember to keep your pockets closed and have a black waterproof sack in your backpack just for precautions when travelling through rivers.
    Cu around decayed feature :)

Have fun, come back. My brother is "doing the time" right now and he loves it, but then he's a fascist which I don't hope you are. Shoot the sarge for us!

First time back on a computer in 2 and a half weeks now. It feels strange :p .

The army is great, allthough we sure have a lot to do. Usually we work from 6 AM to 8 PM Monday to Friday, and we also have some hours of service on Sundays and Saturdays to. But soon I'll be placed in a CV9030N, the best strom panzer wagon in the world under Norwegian conditions  . I hope top become a driver, but being one of the 8 guys on foot sounds fun as well (they're sitting in the trunk of the "tank", and run out and shoot with several different kinds of arms when told to).

I also ate my first hamburger in 3 weeks today :p .

    [IMG] Strom Panzer?

I know a lot of tanks, but this one must be a new model. Do they fire electric bolts and need a powergrid and wires to move? Seems pretty slow way of movement. The weaponry must really be worth it. Or does it run on duracel batteries, and if so, I am curious how many it takes? I hope they are rechargable. Or is it using wind energy to run a generator? Though the cammo should be hard to do with a windmill on top. That way the strom Panzer could drive very fast in storms. the Storm strom panzer...

Ok ok, I know you mean storm, but I just had a spare minute... :1eye:
