OK, my friend installed some of the mods I had, to his PC. Don't worry, he has played the unmodded game far longer than me, so I am sure he will be able to get through it, though he had to uninstall the Tactic's Improved Ilych component after witnessing the slaughter, which is a shame.

Anyway, he also has the mod which introduces Firkraag's daughter, a nice enough half-dragon lass, as a joşnable NPC. She is imprisoned by big F and will only be able to talk and join the party after big F is dead.

My problem is, he also has Imp. Firkraag battle, in that battle you can NOT kill big F the first time, he dimension doors when near death. He also starts as human form, dual-wielding VERY nasty weapons, and summons even more nasty helpers. You get to kil him when you return to Windspear Hills later. That is, if you can beat him, with Timestops, cheesy wing buffets, non-resistible breath weapon and TONS of protections including many Spell Immunities. A fun battle always!

So when will his daughter be available to join? After tougher F's real demise? Or will it cause a conflict? And she will never be able to join legally as her script will be stucked?

 

Sorry, I dont have any advice but rather a question. Where abouts is that NPC mod. I dont ever remember coming across a half dragon NPC before on any of the sites I have been to. And is it any good or are there a few dodgy components to it?

 

As Silverstar stated, it is a mod. Called Sheena, if i'm not mistaken.
I don't know about this problem, seeing that she is meant to join when Frikraag dies. But this thing may mess the script. My best advice would be to wait and see.

 

I guess you could always fiddle a wee with the globals to get her right away .

 

Ah, but the question is: "Which globals?" Does Sheena rely on the variable in the vanilla game, does it make its own, or does it, through an improbable mod cooperation, use the variables surely introduced in the multi-tier (if I read SS's post correctly) Improved Firkraag mod?

There's really no way to know unless you have the mods installed and have a way to look at the scripts. (Unless you designed one or both yourself, of course.) So, I present to you something that will allow that:

Infinity Explorer will give you the ability to look into Firkraag's and Sheena's scripts in your own game, via the AI tab on their CRE file. If ye need more help than tha', ask and ye shall receive.

Glad to see you here again pal, where were you? You are such a master modder, I still can not beat Pink Dragon Taluntain in battle, he keeps killing me fast! (NOT that I want to kill Tal in the first place, just to test my limits )

It may help, but I have never used it before and am rather afraid, but anyway, my friend is having great fun, and does not care if there will be conflict, besides, he has found Sarilieth, and has fallen in love with her. And now that he has heard about the difficulty of Improved Firkraag from me, he decided to leave it to the near end of the game. If he has a problem, I will be his voice and shower you with questions, as usual.

Don't be afraid of it, it's read-only. You cannot change or otherwise affect your game in any way, unless you count knowing more about its workings.

Really? You can't beat Taluntain? . I'd say you of all should be able to do it!

I've beaten him once (wouldn't construct a fight I can't win myself, ya know hard to find bugs in his script if I can't continue to the end myself ), but maybe that's also due to the fact that I've written the script and knows when he'll done everything .

Have you downloaded the latest version? I nerfed the cheesiness a wee by making his spells (well, some of them) interruptable and the likes.

Lol, yeah you'd think that if it wasn't for the fact that he daily bitch over BIO's poor impemention of the 2e rules (especially the mixing of 3e stuff like sorcerers ).
