Well, I finally finished HotU for the first time, and it was suitably epic. Mephistopheles died the death of a thousand cuts (almost literally, since every hit my char or Deekin scored would do damage of about 3 hit points. Imagine Deekin taking on big M with a dagger :) ). The world was saved, etc. The only one which got the raw end of the deal was Aribeth, which got turned by Mephi and had to die. What's with this lady, cannot make up her mind, she fights for good or evil? Big red devil spouts some nonsense, and she has to go haywire again. I am quite disappointed in how the developers set up her role.

Otherwise, I thought the ending was more impressive than that of the O. C. Reminded me a little bit of the Throne of Bhaal finale (with the synopsis of what happens after the battle). All in all, it was quite a good story.
