final fight problems

    whats the best way of killing the wizard in the final fight? my party is 1 fighter, 2 fighter/thieves, 1 cleric and 2 wizzards. I just keep getting hammered!

    i guess you mean the demon that was once Poquelin. this was a tough fight for me, although others say differently. it took me 3 tries the first time thru.

    before you enter his room, rest and memorize spells. you can rest on the floor below the Pompad battle. you want to memeorize defensive spells though, like Haste, and Aid spells. the only offensive spell i was able to get in was magic missle, but they didn't land every time. i used variuos potions like Oils of Speed, Strenght potions and healimg potions.

    this is key right here. Poq. casts Dispel Magic right at the begining of the battle, so dont cast any defensive spells or use any potions before the battle. this will do you no good as i found out the hard way. you will have time to cast your spells right after he casts Dispel Magic. after this, send in your fighters and go to town. if you happen to have Arrows of Peirceing use them, they are +4 to hit, and with a Hastened character they can deal out some good damage.

    dont bother with the Golems, concentrate your attack on the Demon.
