[IMG] Anyone seen the trailer for FF the movie? I have never even seen the game for console or otherwise, but the movie looks pretty cool. Are these games as cool as everyone says? Aren't there like seven of them?

The movie does look good. The games . . . well, they are a very different style. To attack, you select a choice/round, and then the characters jump forward and swing their sword/shoot their gun, etc.

IMHO: The story lines were good. The combat gets real old, real fast. Best part of the games were the cut-screen movies!

I was very tempted to buy FF7 but the fact that it was a console port kept me from buying even when it was under $20.

I'm going to see the movie though, the computer animation looks incredible. Does anyone know if the movie follows any of the games, or is it a new story in a FF world?

I'm also looking foward to that other little computer game movie that's coming out this week- Lara Croft has never looked so good before. :)

The movie DOES NOT follow the FF story. It's a completely different story. Even though the graphics look great from what i saw of the story line it looked gay. I'm probably not gonna see it. Tomb Raider on the other hand...

from what i've heard, FF 10 is going to be based on the movie, sort of a continuation of the movie
