Ok, so a couple weeks ago, my ex-girlfriend and I got in a fight, and I was in a bad enough mood to delete a lot of the pictures we had taken of our time together... seeing as that was stupid, I would like to recover them. However, I would like them back. I deleted them around the 15th of July. I have been looking for free file recovery programs, and none of the free ones can find them (all I did was empty my recycling bin). A free trial of one that costs money found them, but I want that to be a last resort... do you guys have any programs you use that are free and actually work? Thanks in advance for any help.

    These might help:

    Bring Back That File
    Restoration

Restoration looks like it's free...but I didn't look in to the links given in the first article. When you use a file recovery progam, time is of the essence...if Windows overwrites the file, it might be toast. :bad: :rolling:

Eh, the only thing that has worked so far is VirtualLab, but it costs money for 'quota' to save the stuff... it gives you 1 mb of free quota, and the rest you have to buy. The thing is, I need over 300mb to recover these files... and I can't find any way around buying quota, which I don't want to do. Especially since I can't see the preview of the pictures. Normally you can, but for some reason, all of these are preview-less... but I think it's them because it is assorted by date and those are right in between the pictures I took before and after. So I know it's these ones... argh, this is frustrating.

I've heard good things about recuva. Its freeware and is only 351kb, so its worth a shot.
    Goodluck with it.
