Hey, everyone. I used to be a member of Forgotten Wars a couple years back...did the forum implode?

In any matter, I've stumbled upon a quandry in my building of a good script. I'm trying to remotely activate the spells given in Area 2900 (The Nine Hells Main) that are triggered when a Tear of Bhall is held and the doorway to Irenicus is clicked. I would like to know what the spell names are for all the tests (Good and Evil).

Secondly, is there a way to change a character's alignment through scripting?

Forgotten Wars is gone; most of the projects it once hosted went to one of its two spinoff sites: Spellhold Studios and Pocket Plane Group.

The hell spells are as follows:

    Code:
    spin756 HELL_GREED_GOOD
    spin755 HELL_GREED_EVIL
    spin754 HELL_FEAR_GOOD
    spin753 HELL_FEAR_EVIL
    spin752 HELL_PRIDE_GOOD
    spin751 HELL_PRIDE_EVIL
    spin750 HELL_WRATH_GOOD
    spin749 HELL_WRATH_EVIL
    spin748 HELL_SELFISH_GOOD
    spin747 HELL_SELFISH_EVIL
Yes, alignment can be changed via script with the ChangeAlignment(O:Object*,I:Value*Align) action. A full list of actions and other invaluable modding information is available in the IESDP at The Gibberlings Three.

Wow, thanks. Why did it close down? Your name does strike me as familiar.

Three more questions, though; when I was there, several individuals were explaining that the "slots" for playing sounds existed for reputation changes, but I have never been able to figure out this. Do such slots exist, such that I can simply relabel my soundsets (such as DEIDANA, DEIDAN0, ect.) and leaven them in the sound file? Or, do I have to script in the sounds with a reputation trigger, hence, putting the sounds in my override file?

My second question involves item locations; is it possible to script an item into a certain slot on a character's inventory page? Say I would want to script in an enchanting item I made into one of my mage NPC's third item slot (the hidden one), to avoid occupying any normal slots in my inventory or on my person. How is this accomplished?

My final question regards the number of available spells memorized; how can I increase/decrease the number of available slots, and if I can, how can I maintain the memorized spells if the slots are removed?

    Thank you for you help.

Depends. If you're creating a custom soundset for your player character, read the documentation that came with the game. If you're creating an NPC, look at SOUNDS.IDS

Custom NPC, just add it to the creature file and don't bother with a script.

Open the file with DLTCEP, Spells/Slots.
