I more than a little discouraged with the AI at work in undersigil: nameless (or somebody else)will stand around while these skinny types with cargo hooks slice up his pals. And unlike BG (HUSH yo mouth), you can't get the little kids to stay back, and moving slowly enough to get Mort to insult a monster and pull him away toward the group, brings the whole coven. The AI works pretty well for the monsters; but it tends to leave the good guys more helpless than they should be with the levels, weapons and spells at their disposal. The end result is that me and my people don't stand a chance more than 2 feet from an exit. At the same time, a party of 5 can't be controlled without some help from the computer. Any thoughts about hard combats?

My advice...dump AI. What do you mean you can't control a party of five? I am a control freak, if anyone starts doing anything I didn't tell them to do there will be hell to pay :p! Seriously, what fun is combat if you don't orchestrate the whole thing. Now go out and get some.

Yeah, the AI is a bad, bad thing to rely on. I don't use it in any of these games. Its much, much better to control all the actions of your party yourself.
