[IMG] First of all I want somebody to explain what BioWare have done with the dragons. When I try to fight one, everything slows down and becomes choppy. I've always played at 1024*768, but dragon fights are close to impossible at 800*600.

Then I would like somebody to tell me how to kill Klauth with my cleric and Grimgnaw. I can't get him below "Barely injured" :( .

Not too sure about the technical problem, but you can get Klauth down to Badly Injured before the fight eevn starts.

    *Spoiler*

Go out of the room with Klauth in, and down one of the other 2 staircases is a blue dragon. Kill that, then put the orb that should be in a chest in that room somewhere onto the pedestal. If you give that to Klauth through dialogue, he should go to badly injured.

Cool. I've given it to him a few times, but I didn't notice that he was injured by it.

Hmm, when you make the orb, make sure you put it in the pedastel *after* the blue dragon is dead, so that it becomes "the dead dragon orb." If you made it before killing the Blue, or didn't kill the blue, I don't think it works (didn't try it that way myself).

When I killed Krauth my main was a monk, and my henchman was Linu, so its a simlar set up to yours. And yes, he was a bitch to take down. However there was a spell that Linu cast in my previous fights with dragons, I can't be sure what it was, I think it was harm, that did hundreds of points of damage to the dragons (or whatever 'impossible' rated creature we were fighitng) and allowed me to kill it on the next hit. The spell effect was a huge red pillar coming down from the ceiling, I know it wasn't flame strike, and it was nearly the same effect as 'heal' but a different color, which is why I believe its 'harm'

    Hope that helps...

Yup, that's harm. Definitely my favourite spell. Reduces victim to 1d4+1 HP.

[IMG] Then he should be reduced down to about Badly Injured.

    Well, he was on mine.

Even after that I found that he was still damn hard to kill.

But you get some damn decent stuff, other then the words of power.

I just replayed a couple of hours from my last save before I orbed the blue dragon. But even if I Klauth got the dead dragon orb, harm still did a couple of 100 hit points in damage... He's dead now :) .
