Have any of you fanatics ever played one of these??

I started one, one week ago, Kerolas is his name, with the intent to export it to BGII (don't have wotsc expansion, and here in monkeycountry (Belgium that is) its seemingly impossible to find an original version)

It was hard in the first chapters, but I tried to gather as much xp fast to increase
my chances of survival... and since the mage aspect is *very* minimal in the early stages, I didn't care for it (eg. using armor) until Kerolas got level 3.

Boy, is this dude powerfull... (in BG1 standards of course : ))

It was very nice indeed to apear out of the shadows wielding a wand of fire and slaughtering 4 mages in my lonesome in the Peldvale sector... "stuff of legends" as Minsc would undoubtably say.

but I'm stuck at 29666 XP... will it be enough to slay (Spoiler) Sarevok?...

Guess I'll have to find out...

You should post spoiler in the title.
Anyway yes I used to love playing F/M/T, actually I played them constantly for a while, but now I'm more into dual or single class characters. Yes you can do it.

You can download an experience cap remover right here at SP. But if you're past 161,000 and import into BG2, it will take it down to 161,000. You'll be pleasently suprised if you got all of the stat increasing items. 19 intelligence rules, as you can memorize any spell you want. Also 20 Dex would improve your skills by quite a bit. 19 stength is cool too. That is, if you had all of these stats one point below what I mentioned, and you were an elf with 19 dex.

    spoiler in title...
ok, next time I'll do that...

oh, btw, lord Sarevok, the xp-cap remover doesn't work... prepatched DVD version...

No need to worry though, I'm almost finished by now...

(off topic) Where the hell do I find the 'Manual Of Quickness Of Action??' (for indeed 20 dex...)

Besides: Use of the x-cap remover is cheating if noone has noticed by now ... a lvl-8/ 9/ 10 thief - totalling 480.000 xp (given you have ToSC) is *overpovered* period for BG-1 ... where the x-cap of the original game is 89.000 xp (well playable then btw) ... and as a 3rd party cheat patch the x-cap remover may cause trouble with non-munlticlass characters, especially since it doesn't develop the chars further in a rule conform way ... I cannot recommend the use of the x-cap remover at all.

The manual of quickness of action is probably the easiest to get. It's in a barrel in the thieve's guild, behind the thief who sells items.

(this post might contain a spoiler for anyone who never played BG before..., so that would mean that it doesn't contain one..., uh,... right...)

Indeed, removing the xp cap would be 'overkill'...

But then again, it would be an experiment, would it not? Just to make sure to Sarevok who is the one and only, hehe. *Evil Grin*

Ok, got carried away again. Guess I just love the 'level-up-sound'.
    ok, I'll stop now.
