[IMG] Alright, I've read enough about favorite characters. I want to know peoples' favorite party to use in the game, and most importantly, why. Here's mine. Yes, I created 3 characters, but I handicaped them all somewhat. Not good, I know, but I did not like Jahiera's coming on to me(disturbing) and I really needed a decent straightforward fighter.

    Xalen-fighter/mage
A fighter combined with a mage rocks as a character, high level spells and a good fighter, nothing better. Elven chain makes this option worthwhile in this game much more so than Baldur's Gate.
    Levathia-fighter/druid
Same stats as Jahiera but better wisdom, and Viccy's portrait. Another really nice combo can use scmitars and cast spells while wearing the best full plate. Jahiera works just as well, but wisdom is too low for maximum effectiveness. She also needs some kind of strength modifier. Still I'd take her over Anomen.
    Jindrak-berzerker
O.K. he's not handicaped that much, about the same stats as Minsc but weaker and that really is not handicapping, but I am protesting the death of Stuttering John, er uh Khalid, I mean. What is a good AD&D without a good fighter(Jindrak definately qualifies in this area). But to be fair to the poll, I'd definately take Keldorn instead just to use a VERY nice two handed sword. Sucks he can't cast priest spell, but dispell magic is nice and his personal sword is also nice.
    Minsc-ranger
I can't think of a party without him. Either with two handed weapons or dual-yeliding, he's great. I like him better with a two handed sword an composite long bow. Extra druid spells come in handy as well as his hide in shadows. He can do some major backstab damage. Wish they would have modified his berzerk rage to be more like the berzerker class.
    Ariee-mage/cleric
I took Quayle in the first game against popular opinion and thought he was great. The sheer quantity of spells she can cast makes her worthwhile as a backup mageand cleric. With Jahiera and Minsc, that is more than enough clerical power.
    Imoen-thiefDmage
Thieving skills much better than Nalia, and will make a passable thief with the right items such as boots of stealth, mercy killer ring, armor of deep night, etc, etc. I like her as a mage, but whinned to much before I lost her. In the meantime, I took Jan over Nalia. Doesn't apear he has any cool quests, but a better all around substitute character.
    Party stacks up this way:
    4 fighters
    1 1/2 druid
    1 cleric
    3 mages
    1 thief
Got a better party, prove me wrong! I'm open to criticism.

I went with the Fact that if my main Character dies its over. So i decided to make my main a Half Orc Fighter

    Half-orc
Fighter with 19 str and one hell of a punch.
Other than raw fighting power he doesnt do much else.

    Mincs -
My Vampire hating, Berserking friend with a talking sword. Hes a great guy. But The fact that i had that talk with him about where he hid boo SCARES ME!

    Vaylgar -
A Stalker with a bad attitude for Magic and an even worse punch (with the help of a hill giant Str belt)

    Imoen -
the Mage/theif who is prolly the best dual classed theif i have ever seen.

    Aeria -
She has a little trouble with the fact that she cant fly. But she is a good Mage/Cleric
and with the right elven armour she can take the damage she can put out.

    Jahiera -
Causes way to much trouble for the group, But her summoning skills makes up for it.
I just wish she would stop picking on Aerie.
