After playing through all the prestige classes, I was wondering what everyone had as their favs. Mine is the arcane archer- he is so much fun to play with, and very powerful to.

I just made my FIRST evil character so I could become an assasin. He's pretty awesome when it comes to killing from the shadows.

I also liked the arcane archer but I really didn't try it that much.

I have only tried the Shadowdancer so far. It is neat and very powerful/cheesy against the standard computer controlled critters. I have mostly been using the following tactic:

Walk up to the enemy, sneak attacking, tumble back a couple of steps, hiding in plain sight, repeat.

Sure this is kind of cheesy but nowhere near as much as being a shadow archer.

Hide in shadows, fire an arrow, take a couple steps, re-hide in shadows - all before the arrow strikes and the enemy even realizes that you are there. Sure the enemy will occassionly charge at the source of the arrows but all you have to do is keep moving around, firing arrows, and recloaking.

Now that I think about it, I will have to take a look and see if it is possible to build an arcane archer with a single level of shadowdancer to get hide in plain sight. THAT would probably be WAY too powerful.

I started playing SoU today and planning to develop a Shadowdancer, she and her abilites seem very cool.Blackguard is also very cool and with the red eyed guy portrait playing it would be fun.

So far the only PrC I've played is the shadowdancer. But I'm having a blast with him. I favor the the stealthy scout/spy characters anyway.

It should be possible. Start with an elven bard for about 8 levels, then add in the Archer for another level or two. Be sure to focus the skill points in stealth, then add the one level of Dancer.

My first SoU character (half-elven bard/fighter) is ready to start her career as an Arcane Archer at her next level. I am looking forward to it quite a bit. :)
