    Does anyone know how to create your own familiars? I've heard someone speaking of it in some previous thread, but I can't find it...

    If your protagonist can cast mage spells or use scrolls, have him/her cast Find Familiar. Enjoy.

    I think he implies custom familiars. I haven't seen such a thread, though.

    Yes, that's right Zvijer. I meant custom familiars. Anyway the thread wasn't exactly about the custom familiars, but someone mentioned it. I think it was Extremist...

    [​IMG] Do you have to download the patch for the find familiar spell to work properly. Or can it just not be cast by a sorcerer or a specialist mage? When I tried this it says it can only be cast by the protagonist. I thought that ment not a multiclassed mage.

    The protagonist is the PC. Find familiar must be cast by the Bhaalspawn.

    Nope, still won't work. The game considers the character in the 1st slot at the outset of the game to be the protagonist. One time through, since I didn't want my protagonist to be a mage but still wanted a familiar, I tried an experiment.

    I started a game with a nicely rolled mage (whom I still wanted to use), had him cast 'find familiar' from a scroll immediately to get a familiar, and then exported the character. I then started a new mp game with the protagonist I wanted, and put the created mage in the 2nd slot. When I began the 2nd game and tried to release the familiar from the mage's inventory, it disappeared. Poof, gone. So, protagonist only. :( If there's a way around this, I don't know it.

    This brings up an odd remembrance, when I played SoA for the 1st time, my Bhaalspawn (Sorcerer) couldn't cast find familiar? It said "FF may only be cast by the protagonist" and I was only at lv 10 or 11? But after I grew a level I could cast it and got a Psuedo Dragon (neat).

    [​IMG] The Girdle of fortitude raises constitution for 8 hours a day. I'm not sure where its found though?
    Some times when you are warped to places or something Familiars are left behind (underdark, Twisted rune, etc.) this doesent always work however.
