Falrinth and good armor question

How do I beat this guy. My party is level six and I threw everything I had at him to no avail. Also, where can I get some good armor for everyone that keeps damage down a good bit.Thanks.

 

I never had much trouble with Falrinth...I just kept hammering away at him...WHen he goes down, use "Coup de Grace" and he'll STAY down!

As for armor, I haven't finished the game yet, but the best armor seems to be the elven stuff you find...The big frog has the best, IIRC.

Otherwise, much of the best equipment in the game must be made by YOU. Be sure to give your mage and/or cleric the item creation/armor/wand creation feats...Otherwise, getting quality equipment will be difficult.

 

Yes, he wasn't much of a challenge for me either, it is several rounds before he casts damage spells so you should have ample time to whack him into the big sleep. Use Coup de Grace like Sir Belisarius said, and if you want to surpass his stoneskin easily (and all high-hitting weapons will do this) equip someone with a holy weapon, as it adds bonus damage...

*SPOILER* Three can be found, one is the long-sword given to you by Meleny's father when he accepts your request for her hand in marriage. Another is in a secret room on lvl 2, gaurded by a dark spirit called Drelb, it is on the right hand side of the circular room containing the air-elementals (on the opposite side to the stairs down in the same room- found through a secret door on the left) it is called a radiant ranseur when un-identified. The last is simply called spiked chain, so you may not be able to notice it is magical unless you equip it or have prior knowledge, but it becomes the Thorny Chains of Love, and is also holy. They can be found in a chest guarded by the banshee called Groaning Spirit, in a room led to from the upper door (on the right, not one of the right hand side doors, but the upper door to the right) on the room that contains the Ettin, and which leads off to the four key-guarding trols, and has locked doors on it's upper and right-hand side.

Also with the armour, The purple elven chain is found in the King Frog Behemoth, the Green at Emridy meadows, and in one or two places in the dungeon, I forget where precisely, the Blue (the best) is on the body of Smigal [sp?], who is directly above Falrinth (*SPOILER* I hope you killed her, she is the bandit leader and the elven prisoner scam was just an act), also, Belsornig has a Full Plate +1, and Hendrack has a Full Plate +2 or +3 I believe.
