OK, in Planescape: Torment you can currently join the following 'factions':

    • Godsmen
    • Dustmen
    • Anarchists
    • Sensates
    • Xaositects

That leaves the following Planescape source factions still "open for business." Which of these would you like to see in PST? You can find information on the factions here:
    SP Factions link

    • The Athar
    • The Madmen
    • Doomguard (ex.- Haer'Dalis from BG2)
    • The Takers
    • Guvners
    • Indeps
    • Harmonium (ex.- Extremist :) )
    • Mercykillers (ex.- Vhailor, guys in Smoldering Corpse)
    • Signers
    • Ciphers

[IMG] Well i loved the factions in Ps:T and i'd have wanted all in but to actually answer your question-
    In no particualr order

Either the Harmonium or the Mercykillers since both operate as a kind of police force. There could be some interesting 'crime-solving' quests (like the mini one you have to do to join the godsmen). You could have both the Harmonium and Mercykillers but i think that would be too much unless there was a quest where both factions were investigating the same crime from different angles, then you would help one side or the other and join that faction.

Indeps/free league - Possibly if the sort of community aspect was incorparated well i.e. you could get jobs/quests from them and maybe discounts at certain stores etc.

The chaosmen/Xaositects should've been expanded to actually make them a faction with a point in Ps:T.

I would say a big no-no to the Guvners, Siners and the Ciphers as i can't think of a sensible way for the NO to join either.

This would also go for the bleak cabal/madmen because the NO isn't going to give up his quest to find out who he is and the meaning of himself. The problem is to be a member of the bleak cabal NO would have to give up searching for the meaning and the game would end.

On the other side NO could quite sensibly join the the Athar/Defiers/The Lost since NO is trying to discover the secret beneath the veil -
That is extremly similiar IMHO to what the NO wants (until he discovers the truth near the end of the game).

Those are just my thoughts on the factions.
