Really pissed off with myself today. Sal got his piercings done today, he got two upper ear piercings next to each other and they look amazing. I wanted to get something done at the same time but wussed out. I sat and watched Sal get his piercings and it took everything I could not to fall apart in the room. I've been left feeling self concsious and sickened at myself for the whole day.

Sal showed me http://www.needlephobia.com so when I see the doctor later this week to renew prescriptions, I'll get this printed and show them. Reading through it it seems the most likely cause of my phobia is:
Since I was small I'd say it would hurt me, and every time the nurses and my family would tell me I was stupid, or lying or being ridiculous. I'd have people telling me I was a coward or a fool for complaining about something they'd describe as 'painless'

I'm also going to request the hypnotherapy service at university that is offered free to students. My fears are just getting out of control and even if the hypnotherapy can only curb the panic it would be a great relief. People keep trying to expose me to my fear or shock me to get me over it and it only makes it worse. I'm just trying everything that's available to me so I can get on and take medical tests I'm years overdue for and get things done that I've wanted so long for years.

Alongside that my friend Rai has had his food spiked and stolen by his corridormates, he's had to complain to the office, but whether anything happens is another story, they're notoriously slow at doing *anything*
