I have little experience with the Gnoll Stronghold, because it would crash my system every time until I bought another copy of BG1, so...

I've never taken edwin along and then switched sides. Does he really come back for revenge? Do I need to keep Minsc annoying little witch around if I want to kill Eddy?

No and no for both questions. However, Minsc and Dynaheir are a pair, in the sense that you can't drop one from the party without the other one leaving with them. So if you don't want Dynaheir, you either have to let her run into a battle by herself and die (at which point you can drop her), or have her go into a house and remove her from your party that way so that Minsc doesn't leave. Obviously, you want to do this in a house you won't be going back into later in the game...

Minsc isn't a problem, because I don't even have him with me (if I'm not mistaken you can't have BOTH him and Edwin). I'll probab ly do the Noble RPing thing and take her back to Minsc in Nashkel and then ditch them both. Time to check out some more interesting NPCs

Actually, you *can* have Minsc and Edwin in the same party, although they wont get along very well.....

I've had them both in the party before (after I got Dynaheir killed by some gnomes) and neither of them seemed bothered by it.
