Okay I have used the search function and read some old posts on the subject but I am unable to beat the Eclipse Squad!

They rush you, have three (or four) highly tanked up and suped up spellcaster attacking you (including Comet spells I think) while three great fighters and a horde of undead attack you at speed!.

In addition they have a time stop every few minutes in which THEY can move/hack you to death/play charades and YOU all stand there and take it...except Sol who generally fills his pants at this point!

Oh and you can not seem to effect them with spells (VERY Magic Resistant) and when I try to use scrolls they do not work (or are just too slow)...oh and the screen judders around like a 400 pound lap dancer!!!

Clearly the point is to keep Sol alive - so I had my main guy (a VERY effective Wiz Slayer/tHief with the Holy Avenger) and Sarevok (with Soul Reaver) stand in front of Sol while he buffs up then spells. Viconia turns the undead, and her new 'pals' run to stop the Eclipse Squad fighters.

We are holding them off, doing damage (as long as we 'form up' quick enough). Then we are hit by time stop, we continue to be hit by Comet spells etc and they all get free slaps at us (generally Viccy dies at this point), and they are all healed up (OH JOY!!!).

This goes on until two mages decide to start firing that flaming disc spell at a party member (generally Sarevok first), he is soon chump chops.

Then either myself or Sol get the flaming discs plus everything else hacks at us. Either death means the end...

I have tried alsorts, I really have.

But I am stuck. I even tried to leave for the pocket plane, but no dice.

    Anyone got any pointers?

You need to dispel their buffs at all costs, they have insane amount of buffs. (improved haste plus regeneration plus hardiness means immortal tanks!) Launch a sequencer with three remove magic in it, if your caster level is high enough this will make things easier. then, launch three Teleport Fields via another Sequencer. Telly field works wonders here, the tanks are shifted and teleported randomly three times per round, which puts them effectively out of melee and fight! Fight! Then you can concentrate on casters, though they did not give me much trouble.

To protect your casters, put a Contingency:pro from Magic weapons when hit. Stoneskin is useless as one of them dispels when hits.

Remember, vorpal hits go through stone skins, and Sarevok GWWing with a vorpal sword or halberd is very likely to kill a well-protected mage in the first round!
