Gamecloud has interviewed Ken Troop from Turbine on the development and features of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach. Here's a snip:

Gamecloud - First, how is the development of D&D Online coming along?

Ken Troop - It’s a very exciting time for us – we’re really looking forward to E3 to show off this great game!

Gamecloud - How hard is it to create a MMO game based on perhaps the most famous role playing game franchise of all time?

Ken Troop - It’s both a wonderful blessing and a tremendous responsibility. People on this team are passionate about D&D…our D&D experiences growing up played a formative role for many of us in choosing game development in the first place. Absolutely there is a lot of self-imposed pressure and desire to get it just right. But it’s also wonderful…a D&D geek dream come true. Luckily for us, our love for D&D led us to an early and important realization – we didn’t have to overdesign D&D Online to make it “fit” with the MMO genre. We just needed to make sure we were providing the classic D&D tabletop RPG experience – create authentic D&D characters, go on fun campaign adventures, and be able to do all this with your friends – and D&D Online would be in great shape.
