1UP.com doesn't give away any new info in this short preview of Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Just because this is an action-oriented game doesn't mean that it isn't faithful to the subject matter. This is a D&D product, with all the rules implemented (skeletons impervious to cold, and so forth), and being familiar with these rules will help improve your survival rate. Special moves are called "feats," and they're earned with skill points (just like in the original) and assigned to function keys. The exterior, though, is remarkably non-threatening to the beginner player -- Turbine seems to be going for an "easy to learn/hard to master" fighting system here, one that players of all types can enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
