IIRC you´ll keep the THACO bonus but it will only take effect once you *are* finally dualclassed and can use the abilities of both classes.
And unfortunately a monk and a barbarian can´t be dualled.

Only kits have THAC0 bonuses. Since you can't dual from one kit to another kit, the class you dual to will never have a THAC0 bonus.

As Ragusa says your initial class, when reactivated, gives you all it's bonuses.

The best THAC0 numbers (and Saving throws?) of the two classes is automatically used, like with multiclassed characters.

Unlike what the rulebook says a Ranger can dc to Cleric. Probably because multiclass Half-Elf Cleric/Ranger is allowed. The consequences? Don't ask...

[IMG] The consequences ... ah well, a monster with lot´s of strenght and hitpoints that usually dualwields blunt instruments ferociously and that is able to cast tons of cleric spells and additionally can use stealth if needed :D

That result also casts both cleric AND druid spells, is able to achieve the second highest(only Swashbucler/Fighters have better) THACO of all classes,

and hopefully is good enough to beat BG2 solo - which I am in the process of testing.
