[IMG] For the first time in DnD PC game history..Druids have not been nuetered in uselessness....
They(Well at least mine) are great fighter/spell casters.
The first couple of chapters they are still pretty much middle of the road..like a bard or something...
But now my druid is a butt kicking spell casting tank....I'm in chapter 5 now.

Anyway...just glad to see the druid class get a break...

I'll have to try the bard and monk next time.
I heard deep gnomes make great monks....
    True?

And is the strength limit 25?

You should apply the Ease-of-use mod to see the true power that a druid can harness.

You can get it here - Weimer's IWD2 Mods

[IMG] The limit of 25 points is in BG 2, in IWD 2, my cleric has 29 Wisdom and I'm in the beginning of my second run through the game, HoF now. Don't know, wether there are a limit of 30 points, but I don't guess so. :D

    @Urghazi

WeiderMod makes the game a bit too easy, I think...

I honestly think druids aren't all that useful.

Any cleric with Spellcraft 10 and Spirit of Flame, Aegis of Rhime etc and school focuses will bring devastating area damage as well as loads of healing, especially if he's not evil.

You have *** Armour feat, so you can get good protection and don't need high DEX, which enables you to increase STR and CON to some nice level (CON raise or similar HP effects aren't as easily achieveable by spells as STR increase or similar BAB/damage effects).

If you want even more offensive casting, you could take Lathander, limit to spirit of flame and get the penetration(2) feat, exactly like I did.

Other than that, it's sorcs that are meant to be ultimate damage delivery service :D

I'm running through now with a Ranger 1/Druid 8 (only in Chap. 2) and have found druids to be a nice addition. This may not be the case at later levels. The extra healing is always helpful early on and my druid got entangle before my wizard got web, which was priceless outside the fortress. Extra summons for the big battles help out too.

[IMG] Once you get thron spray on your druid (lvl 4 or 5 spell) he/she really kicks ass! 6D10 dmg with wide spread area! Althought Thorn Spray doesn't increase dmg through caster lvls it surely is the most powerful spell by the time you get it. Or???

+the druid also acts as a part time healer (if you want) cause he/she can get hold on the healing spells.

I have yet to try a druid in IWDII, i had one in IWDI and she rocked so im just about to start a new game and use a druid.

:yot: I have a bard a Morninglord of Lathander and a monk; my bard is an excellent leader, my cleric is my healer, summoner and ultimate pyromaniac with spirit of flame, and my monk has the most kills in the party, and yes is a deep gnome. THey work great, plus my three other guys but hey.
