Hay all,
I have just downloaded this mod and i have had a bit of a tinker and it seems alright but one of the main anoyances that I have come across is not being able to use scimitars when the description says you can. When you create the character you can put a prof. point into scimitars, but when you start the game, you cannot equip them. Another problem is that when you start up SoA, irenicus kills you in the torture cell because you level up to level 8 when you first take control of the character, not when the character is created. To overcome this, I simply put the kit into EasyTutu and started there and leveled up to the 89000XP using SK then exported the character. If anyone has used this mod, can you please help me with the proficiency problem.

I used the mod and finished the game with it.

I never encountered Irenicus killing me at the start, but I heard it from another user too, so I guess it is a rare bug.

About proficiencies, your character will be counted as sorcerer for what items he can use. So he can only use crappy weapons. The mod has another component to make all items usable by sorcerer but it said it could cause BUGS so I avoided it and wielded mage weapons. No big loss.

One warning. NEVER let your character get level drained. It bugs the kit. When you restore he becomes a pure sorcerer, with no abilities and HLAs of Druidic Sorc and there is NO way to cure it AFAIK, I had to restart in a multi-game and re-create my PC TWICE before realising the cause. Beware!

Also never use CTRL+R cheat, it immediately restores you to a normal and crappy sorcerer.

Thanks for the reply Silverstar, but I have pretty much given up on the idea of a druidic sorcerer, even though the idea was cool. I have just gone back to the good old mage/thief and finding backstab/invisiblity so much fun again. If a not so buggy mod like this comes out, i still will give it a go as it is a good idea.

 

Shame about that, you know, I was about to give up too, the mod is really buggy as it tries to break the rules of the game engine. Though in the end I had the most powerful caster PC ever possible, with Imp. Planar SPhere's items and modifications, he was VERY powerful and fun while it lasted.
