[IMG] I have been searching the net for some time, for portraits of a drow mage, but I have only found 2 (perhaps 3) portraits of drows, and those were most likely rangers (most likely drizzt too, if I'm not all blind).

    HELP, anyone??

oh, just one more thing, elves in general, I read about them being able to live approx 1200 years or something, I was wondering, do elves grow as fast as humans, physically???

Lokken - I can't help on the portrait thing. Sorry. You could always color your monitor ;)

On the elven age question I can be of some help. While I forget the specifics, I do know that different types of elves live longer than others. Drow tend to be shorter lived (sorry) in the 800-1000 year range. Grey elves are on the other end of the spectrum living 1800-2000 years. Wood, High and Valley elves fall in the middle.

Reading books about elves you tend to see them "come of age" in their 30's-40's. This would equal our adolescence.

There's a pack of 130 portratits you can download here at Sorcerer's. Unfortunatley I haven't used it so can't say if there is anything suitable. I'll post the link below. I guess part of the problem is that none of the BG games let you play as a drow so no one has done a portrait. Oh well.

Anyway, I'll also put a couple of other links below to sites that might have pictures that you can convert into a portrait. Although you've probably already been to them. Good luck with the hunt.

PS you might also like to try and catch Darien in the chat room as she has spent a lot of time hunting portraits of Elven Bards recently so might have some handy links.

I've downloaded the 130! portraits file, there are a few drow but i'm not really sure they are mage, they look more like warriors.

well, yes, I have the packet too and didn't really find any drow mage pic. Just to increase the difficulty of my search, my mage happen to be male =)

oh, and Slappy, thanks for the links, I started a new game, where I play evil, and used a drow pic for a fighter =) now all I need is another voice, the PC voices are really a pain in the hard to reach place, as minsc would put it =)

just pretending, if you can be it, well, I just try to be the next best thing.

Though I wouldn't mind finding a mage portrait for a normal elf, caus the ones in the game look like morons =)

maybe it's a good idea for another game to have race kits. like if you choose to be an elf you can choose between drow, wood elf and whatever elves there might be (so you don't have to pretend ;) )

I think I have a portrait of a male drow mage. Don't know where I found it though. Maybe I could e-mail it to you?

If you want me to make a male Drow Mage from scratch (err, not really, more of a composite of several images), perhaps I can make one. Just ask.

I made these (you have to manually cut and paste the URL--I didn't put them up as links for "anti-minor-access" reasons):
    http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/prev1.jpg
    http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/prev2.jpg
    http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/vic_samp.jpg

so you judge if I have the ability to make a male Drow mage.

I'm not sure, it could be temporary, but I can't access any of them, it says they're not there
