    Nice feats from Shura, aren't they? His topic reminded me that I also had a few somewhere on my drive.

    Feats

    Veteran Drinker
    ===============

    Drinking is an important part of your life.

    Prerequisite: Your character must earn this feat, subject to DM's approval.

    Benefit: +8 competence bonus to any checks made for drinking purposes.
    Any unwelcome permanent effects are now draining effects unless on natural roll of 1. Other penalties not of permanent nature, such as hangover effects or waking up drunk, remain unchanged.

    Special: This feat may only be taken once. Its effects do not stack with any similar effects except circumstance effects or general fortitude save bonuses. This feat cannot be selected by a 1st level character or as a bonus feat unless it's your class feature to take any feat or a drinking feat as a bonus feat.

    Seasoned Veteran Drinker
    ========================

    You can drink a veteran to the floor.

    Prerequisites: Veteran Drinker, Fortitude Save +6

    Benefit: You roll twice for every serving you drink and take the better result. While this feat will appear useless to almost all players, true veterans will welcome it because of the sheer number of tests to take.

    Special: This feat cannot be selected as a bonus feat unless it's your class feature to take any feat or a drinking feat as a bonus feat.

    Booze beacon
    ============

    No matter how much and what proof, you will practically always recover

    Prerequisites: Seasoned Veteran Drinker, CON 13+, Endurance.

    Benefit: You can retry saving throw against permanent constitution decrease once.

    Special: If you fail it twice, you deserve it. While this feat will appear useless to almost all players, true veterans will welcome it because of the sheer number of tests to take. This feat cannot be selected as a bonus feat unless it's your class feature to take any feat or a drinking feat as a bonus feat.

    Wise Drinking
    =============

    You know how much you can hold and make use of the knowledge.

    Prerequisites: Wisdom 12+

    Benefit: Competence bonus equal to your wisdom modifier is added to any checks made for drinking purposes.

    Special: This feat may only be taken once. The bonus applies so long as your current wisdom ability score provides any bonus. This feat cannot be selected as a bonus feat unless it's your class feature to take any feat or a drinking feat as a bonus feat.

    Improved Wise Drinking
    ======================

    You have mastered the art of drinking within your capability

    Prerequisites: Wise Drinking, Veteran Drinker

    Benefit: You may make the roll before drinking and stop drinking on succesful Will Save

    Special: This feat may only be taken once. The bonus applies so long as your current wisdom ability score provides any bonus. You lose the benefit if you lose your wisdom bonus. This feat cannot be selected as a bonus feat unless it's your class feature to take any feat or a drinking feat as a bonus feat.

    Disguise Drunkenness
    ====================

    Rarely can they tell if you are drunk or not. Most probably you have simply learnt to live with it.

    Prerequisites: CHA 12+, Will Save +4, Veteran Drinker

    Benefit: You appear to be subject to one category of intoxication less than you really are.

    Special: Whoever beats DC 20 + your CHA modifier + your WIS modifier with Listen, Spot or Sense Motive check, sees through your disguise.

    Optional rules:

    1. Some deities will not tolerate using divine spells enhancing constitution or fortitude throws specifically for the purposes of drinking. They may also choose that any divine effects they granted do not apply to character's drinking throws.

    2. Some deities may withhold all spells from inebriated characters until they recuperate. In extreme cases penance is required or even atonement spell.

    Spells

    Sorvo's Liver, Transmutation, Bard 6: Despite your liver being practically nonexistent, you are still able to imbibe huge quantities of alcohol

    Protection from Hangover, Abjuration, 2: The caster is able to protect himself from unpleasant effects of hangover. Using this spell requires initial casting, before exposure and further proteprotective measures as suggested by a special good spirit invoked in the process of initial casting. Material components: two glasses of water. When not cast on self, the effect is halved and the caster must remain close to the target of the spell for the purpose of passing the guidance of the good spirit.

    Dispel Hangover, Abjuration, 2: The caster is able to reject unpleasant effects of hangover. Material components: bottle of water, lemon, coffee.

    Stream of Social Energy, Conjuration, Special: the caster is able to invoke a whole new strength and a whole new social capacity by imbibing a sufficient amount of alcohol. Negative conditions and effects such as level loss inflicting the loss of ranks diplomacy, or fatigue effects are removed for the purposes of fulfilling social duties, especially towards members of the opposite sex.

    Spring Bull's Strength, Transmutation, 2: You feel like a bull. A young bull. A young bull in Spring time. The use of Detect Legal Age, Detect Teen Seductress or Detect Slut is advised in conjunction with this spell.

    Impervious Sobriety of Mind, Abjuration, 6: By a complicated process of preparation and constant focus the caster is rendered immune to mental effects of imbibing abysmal amounts of alcohol. This spell is traditionally associated with the knights of The Most Renowned Order of Everfull Chalice and Glorious Bean. Material components are kept secret and rumour says that they may vary each time casting. They are believed to include vitamin C, fat, tea, coffee, water. Should one even discover the secret of material components for this spell, special constant focus of mind is indispensible. Effects will only be partial and may result in a violent death of the caster.

    Bonded Mount: St. Bernard. This creature is not technically a mount, but it most certainly has a special bond with his paladin master. Every time the paladin is in need of high proof, St. Bernard will appear with a Barrel of Plenty hanging from his neck.

    The idea appears in the Netbook of Booze, but only as a name of mythical creature and a pattern to follow when designing for example StCuthberts to roam all over the mountains around a monastery. You might still wish to see it though, and, truth be said, that Netbook as a whole isn't all that bad, even if largely boring.

    There are rules for drinking and getting drunk in Arms & Equipment.

    That aside, I really hope you're just being silly.

    I made a quick scan of your post, but Chevalier, I've got to ask you ... Where are the caffeine feats?

    You know, feats that let you get the most out of your coffee, or even derive ability score bonuses from incaffeinated drinks, and such.

    Caffeine will come soon. Some of it is covered by the Most Renowned Order of Everfull Chalice and Glorious Bean prestige class or template - not yet decided. Basically, Gentleman template is required (though the effect is that of a feat and not a really potent one) and Bastard prestige class. So MROECGB will remain a Bastard order or it will be further specialised and specified as a prestige class of second level (requiring another prestige class as prerequisite).

    Basically, caffeine addiction will be just an addiction (I'm sure addictions are described somewhere) and such things as Coffee Junkie or Coffee Zombie might be feats acquired outside of the normal acquisition of feats, or templates. I'll only try to limit prestige classes since they actually take levels, which hurts. If a prestige class gives benefits at or below the level of NPC classes, and has prerequisites to meet and needs you to cajole your DM into approval, it better be a template, even if you're going to have half a dozen of them. Right?

    Of course, I may as well develop a caffeine chain in a shape similar to this here drinking chain.

    Ultimately, as I don't like money, but like the independence it provides, I may actually allow someone to include these feats in his product but I'll never ever sell the final say on things I've made ;)
