Im just wondering who creates your favourite party. For a good party mine is
1)Me, as a speedy fighter (usually Elven),
2)Minsc, as my right-hand man due to his sheer power(and the humour he provides when you're a good guy, ((HAMSTERS AND RANGERS EVERYWHERE, REJOICE!!!))
3)Keldorn, as he is a good rounded fighter (definatly when he gets the Holy avenger, hoo boy!)
4)Aerie, as she is a good mage AND a priest(whats a party without a priest?)
5)Mazzy, mainly for back-up fire.and
6)Imoen, hmmmmmmm wonder why, errrr might be because a: she is a handythief b:shes a handy back-up mage and c:she's a main character.

 

ME=elven stalker
Valygar= backup 4 my guy
Jaheira=romance and healing
Mazzy=good cover fire
Minsc=dunno why, i hate the character but i never get rid of him
Imoen=fireballs and invisibilities.

my party mainly relies on me and valgay running in stealthed, backstabbing, drinking invisibility potions and every1 else just sits there. Imoen occasionally walks in with with staff of mages and casts a spell if me n valygar get bogged down in combat and sometimes minsc and jaheira rush to the rescue. But mainly i set ambushes with imoen as a decoy or i sick valygar and myself in assassination missions. The most dangerous enemy is the one who kills u b4 u see him

 

My actual party is great:

-Me (halfling cavalier)
-Jaheira (romance & healing/ druid spells; golemkiller)
-Kheldorn (Countermagic)
-Minsc (the good guy with the hamster - great punch using halberds, two-handed swords and maces)
-Mazzy (great archer who never fails to hit, great girl)
-Imoen (Magespells and thief support)

They are unstoppable

 

I don't know about dream teams, but a mean team is my current party...

Tremendous spellcasting abilities are great. A druid, two clerics, two mages, and two front line tanks.

And I think if you disregard allignment it could only be bettered by replacing Imoen with Edwin and Anomen with Viconia but I think Keldorn would leave also there would be no thief then.

I'm curious Ezmer, did you create 2 characters in multiplayergames and copied them to a normal game?
And if so, what happens if one of those characters dies?
Are you gameover then, like you are when you play with one character?

Some background story of this "dreamteam":
Da'rok and Phyron would prolly kill any foe in the game alone (except Kangaxx or other strong magicians). They are brothers.. Phyron is 4 years younger and his parents did their best to make him a paladin and to become a knight (what he finally became in the Order) and that made the other brother bitter. Da'rok was very mad about this and when he was 14 or so he left home and never came back. Phyron lived his life home as only child and somewhat forgot he once had a brother. Their parents were murdered by group of gnolls while Phyron was in his first journey with his advisor, the greatest of Order, Keldorn Firecam. Phyron wanted revenge so hard that he with the assitance of Keldorn killed over hundread gnolls in the hills nearby. Or so it has been told. Phyron was not satisfied.. he wanted to look in the eyes of that gnoll who took his world down. Keldorn talked him out of it.. was able to speak his blindness away. Phyron was still trying to be a man, but a mighty fighter he was already. Keldorn had taught him everything he knew and they had father-son kind of relationship.
After some time Da'rok came back to the town they used to live in. Da'rok had find himself a companion, Viconia. Phyron heard of his brother's arrival and went mad.. he pushed Keldorn aside and rushed to Copper Coronet where his brother was sighted. He went straight to the saloon and nothing and nobody dared to stand in his way. Phyron found Da'rok in the deepest corner of the room along with a female. Phyron walked to them, threw the table out of the way, lift his brother up against the wall and accused him of the death of their parents, because he was not there for them. Da'rok didn't say anything. After Phyron had stopped yelling and let his feet back on the ground Da'rok took a sword that was lying in his feet. It was a longsword. But the blade was not a common one.. it was glowing a darkblue color. Da'rok didnt say anything.. just passed the sword to Phyron and his eyes told everything needed to know. Phyron took the sword in his hand and it was the lightest, but sharpest sword he had ever seen.. while Phyron was doing some moves with the sword Keldorn approached Da'rok and questioned his true intentions.. Da'rok told of great evil to kill. That was the destiny, that had always been their destiny since they born. Their parents weren't killed by gnolls.. gnolls do not remove the victims tongue, he said. Keldorn was suprised he knew of this.. so many questions Keldorn wanted to ask, but Phyron returned to their table. He had totally forgotten the screaming and accusations earlier. He just wanted to know where did his brother get this sword and can he keep it. Da'rok told it was the only thing along with these.. *he lifted twin katanas on the table* ..I took with me. The sword I gaved you is yours.. it's one of the three blades. The three blades that our father had hidden.. the glow in your sword will freeze anyone else's arm if they try to wield it. Da'rok's katanas had deep red glow. Just before Phyron started asking questions Da'rok asked him to sit down because there was lot to tell and a journey ahead...

The party I found to be very well rounded, both offense- and defensewise:

Keldorn
Jaheira
Aerie
Imoen

Main char - up to your personal preference, these four NPC's can handle everything.

This party has every essentia, nothing extra. All fighing styles and weapons are covered.

PS. To make it truly all-rounded, take a Dual-Wielding Blade as a protagonist.

#3 Viconia
#4 Edwin

Perfect number of characters, six is too many IMO. This party covers all your needs, and has the best characters of the respective class in the game.

 

Punisher: When you use PCs except your main char it is just important when your main character dies. The second PCs role is just like an NPCs - so he don´t get any stronghold quests too.

 

4 berserkers, 1 dw longswords, 1 2-handed swords, 1 dw axes, 1 dw katanas.
A conjurer and a priestess of Talos, cast haste on them and they will cut up a dragon in 5 secs
