GameDaily has previewed Dragonshard. Here's a snip:

Most of us here at GameDAILY have never so much as seen a pair of dice outside of Vegas. Dungeons were things we scuttled through while chasing down Uber-Hitler in Wolfenstein 3D; dragons were something to see in the classic '80's flick, Dragonslayer. So for us, the news of Liquid Entertainment's attempt to resurrect the Dungeons & Dragons franchise fell on deaf ears. That is... until we started peering into the dark corners of those Dungeons, slowly raised our kerosene lantern... and saw the beast that was about to be unleashed!

Dragonshard takes place in the newly created land of Ebberon. The history of this new land goes something like this: once there were three dragons - good, bad and neutral. And probably all ugly to boot! Eons ago the good and bad dragons went toe to toe in a cataclysmic battle that created the world. Through untold mystical who-doo, the neutral dragon became Ebberon, the evil dragon became the Underwold, and the good dragon took shape as countless shards (appropriately called "dragonshards") that circle Ebberon. Every so often one of these shards falls to the surface - and all hell breaks loose.
